For the month of October, the Strut Book Club will read “Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe” by Benjamin Alire Saenz.
Join us October 30th at 7:30 PM on the Second Floor of Strut for some wine, little snacks and great conversations about literature.
Please make sure to read the book before hand and come ready to discuss your thoughts. Don’t forget folks, we get a discount at Dog Eared Books in the Castro!
If you have not read the book, it is okay to come and sit and listen to the conversation. But be warned we do talk about the ending.

Aristotle is an angry teen with a brother in prison. Dante is a know-it-all who has an unusual way of looking at the world. When the two meet at the swimming pool, they seem to have nothing in common. But as the loners start spending time together, they discover that they share a special friendship—the kind that changes lives and lasts a lifetime. And it is through this friendship that Ari and Dante will learn the most important truths about themselves and the kind of people they want to be.

Benjamin Alire Sáenz (born 16 August 1954) is an award-winning American poet, novelist and writer of children’s books.
