DREAAM stands for “Determined to Respect and Encourage African-American Men” because that’s exactly what we are.

We’ve created a home-like place where we can express ourselves. We don’t judge anyone for their body image, how we act, what we’ve done or haven’t done, how much school we’ve completed, or what kind of place we come from. We believe that respect starts with ourselves and that being able to take bold steps in the future starts with feeling supported now. We create space for DREAAM leaders to build community, affirm and support each other, and get connected to resources through the following programs and services:

  • DREAAM Drop-In Fridays
  • Health and Wellness Services
  • Individualized Support

DREAAM Drop-In Fridays

Fridays from 5 pm – 8pm
Come share a meal, meet new people, participate in workshops, and hang out. DREAAM Drop-In Fridays is open to all LGBTQQI folks of color and their allies, ages 30 and under. Meet us and make new friends every week at Strut on the 3rd Floor (470 Castro St, San Francisco).

Health and Wellness Services

We offer a variety of services to help get your mind and body healthier. Get tested for HIV and STIs, get counseling if you need to talk to someone at any time, and get linked to medical care or any other services you might need.

Individualized Support

DREAAM offers non-judgmental, one-on-one support. Stop by if you need help applying for public benefits, replacing identification, or for more information about free services and programs.
